Bananas

The weather has been so crazy lately, we were even without power for several hours today.  Since we couldn't do anything at the house, not even make lunch, we decided to go for a drive to San Anselmo to check out the new house and make sure it wasn't under water.  Luckily, it is located on a hill, so the chances of that happening are slim.

Elanor loved the car ride and looked so adorable getting ready for the cold.

Elanor ready to brave the cold weather
Uncle Brad and Aunt Megan came over for dinner on Saturday and we played some games.  I think Elanor was a good luck charm for Brad and Megan, because they were the big winners of the night.

Elanor is continuing to try new flavors.  Last week it was bananas, today it was peas.  I'm not sure if she liked them, but they did compliment her outfit quite nicely.

That's it for now, next week will be a big week for us...we get the keys to the new house on Tuesday!

5 Months!

Elanor turned 5 months old...I can't believe it.  She is getting so big!  Her knew favorite thing to do is sit in her high chair and watch Mom and Dad eat dinner...

Here are her 5 month photos.  The dress was made by Grandma Margaret.  So cute.  Actually, I think Grandma Margaret has become a full-time seamstress.  Ella now has 5 new dresses and 5 new bibs all hand sewn by Grandma.  As you can see in the photos, Ella loves to play with her dress...

I caught Elanor smiling during tummy time!

The weather has been really bad lately.  Still waiting for a day to go to the park and fly a kite.  Maybe next weekend.

Happy 5 Month Birthday Elanor!!

Firsts...

It was a weekend of firsts...

Elanor has been doing so well at tummy time, i think i may have even seen her smile once while she was on her tummy...however, that has yet to be captured on camera.

Tummy Time
She did roll over though!!  It was so exciting, luckily she did it 4 times in a row!

We also put Elanor back in her excersaucer...she seemed to like it much better this time, but i still think she wonders what it is for...

On Saturday, we got dressed up and made a drive to Sacramento to meet Great-Great Aunt Mary-Louise who was in town visiting Great Grandma and Grandpa Hood.  We had a great dinner and got to visit with many members of the family.

Getting Ready to Go to Sacramento

Ella has been staring at Dan and my food when we eat, and sometimes grabbing for it, so we thought it would be a good time to see if she wanted some food of her own.   So Sunday night i made some rice cereal for her and Ella experienced her first taste of "food".  I'm not sure if she liked it though.  I have to say, if i had to eat rice cereal for dinner, i think i would spit it out everywhere too...
