A Year of Memories...

Thought I would put my video editing skills to good use....and there is no better use than when looking at photos of Ella...enjoy.

Discovering Fun at the Discovery Museum

After a random chain of events (Elanor gets a new bookcase for Christmas, rearranging Ella's room to fit the bookcase, relocated books onto bookcase, finding a "Kids Golden Gate" book, thumbing through book) we decided to visit the Bay Area Discovery Museum located at Fort Baker.  Oh my gosh, did we have fun.

This is basically a giant playground for kids aged 1-10.  They even have a specific toddler only area where we pretty much spent all our time.  It was a blast.  Check out some pics....

Elanor had the best time ever...we only had one incident which resulting in less than 5 minutes of crying.  I'll take it, and we will be back soon!

Bumble Bees and Christmas Trees...

The past few months have been filled with travel, food, trees, toys and more.   Elanor has made a few more friends, experienced her first Halloween and Thanksgiving (OK not her first), and has now picked out her first Christmas tree (that one actually is a first).

For Halloween, Elanor really wanted to be a bumble bee (I guess she was inspired by the fantastic cake and cupcakes at her birthday party).  I heard many neighbor's and trick-or-treaters exclaiming that she was the cutest bumble bee ever!  I agree!

Thanksgiving was a blast.  We spent the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's.  Thanksgiving dinner was actually at Great Grandma and Grandpa's and we got to see pretty much all of local fam (plus an added bonus that Sara and Tim were in town from San Diego!).  It was tiring for little Ella...

Elanor did find a new use for her Mozart block...it makes a great seat!

Great Aunt Carol celebrated a birthday this past month, and Elanor met a new friend named Kiley.  Friends Brenna, Scott, Jaxon & Kiley came all the way from Minnesota to spend the week with Carol.  Thank you so much to Jaxon for sharing the Mickey Mouse CD player with her and especially for leaving it for her as a gift! She absolutely loves the music...it's so funny to watch her dance around with it on her shoulder like it is 1985 and she just got a new boombox.

After wandering and circling and taking a small trip in a sleigh full of presents...

Elanor found a Christmas tree she liked.  We took it home, decorated it, and took off put on all the ornaments.  It was a blast and it's the best looking tree i have ever seen...

Even though the weather has not been so nice (although you wouldn't know that this weekend with it being 75 degrees yesterday) we still find time to take walks, go to the park and just play.  Lots of playing.

Hope everyone else is having a great holiday season.
