Blomquist Family Blog: Starting a new chapter...

So it's been a while since the last post because...things have been very hectic. Needless to say, I have a lot to share. Elanor is growing so fast, in fact she will be four months old this week.

She has been loving standing and sitting up, so I thought she would LOVE her exersaucer where she could stand up all she wanted without toppling over. Well, I think she looks really cute in it, but other than that, it didn't seem to provide much entertainment, maybe in another few weeks...

Dan has been enjoying the warm weather, and has been on a few bike rides around the county. When he gets back he can't even wait to see Ella...

Also, I started back to work full time on January 31st (which is mostly the reason why this blog hasn't been updated in a while). Once a month, Grandma and Grandpa Morris will be babysitting. We were all a little unsure how Elanor would handle her first day without Mom and Dad, but i think she handled it well...

Sometimes I wonder if reading books about baby development is a good idea. I read that rolling her around on a ball would help strengthen her core muscles. Well I'm not sure if Ella's core is any stronger, but it was a fun time...for me at least.

February 1st was Elanor's first day at daycare. It was a really hard morning for us all, but we made it through and I think Ella is getting adjusted. They have a swing at daycare, which she absolutely loves. Sometimes its hard to get her out of it when I go to pick her up in the afternoon...

This past weekend was my birthday and we spent a portion of it at Stinson Beach. It was Elanor's first trip to the beach! We had so much fun, although we definitely need to plan a little better next time...creating a tent of sticks and blankets wasn't the easiest way to provide shade for Elanor, but it made for some amusing photos...
