The Blomquist Family Stays Busy

Boy has it been busy.  Fun, family, food, vacation, holidays and amazing weather.  When you combine all these together, you get a lot of stories and photos....

So what exactly have we been up to?  As Elanor would say "Let's find out"...

Dan, Grandma Margaret, Aunt Janet and Elanor had a visit to the Train Museum in Sacramento.

All four of us, and Grandma Margaret went to the Folsom Zoo for their "Wild Nights" holiday zoo experience.  The entire zoo is covered in Christmas lights, and you get to see the animals too!  Dan loved the wolf, I loved the bears, Grandma Margaret loved the peacock, Ella loved everything and Liddy loved the lights.

We celebrated Dan's new job with a trip to the Pelican Inn.  It was Liddy's first visit there (Ella's second).  So we celebrated with lunch on the patio and a little playtime on the grass.  The place has made a few renovations to the outdoor area, but otherwise looks the same.  It's so fun to visit special places such as this with the girls.  They don't quite get it yet, but soon will.

Then there was the Mickey Mouse Christmas House.  Our favorite Christmas light display.  Liddy was mesmerized by the bright lights, Ella loved all the Disney displays.  The newest one is the Toy Story window...perfect for this year because Ella loves Buzz!

And since the weather has been so nice, there have been outdoor activities too!  Several trips to the park...

And some hiking of Mt. Tam too!

But we had to keep up with those Christmas traditions, like decorating a gingerbread house...

And Dan loved taking Elanor on the ice for the first time (Ella loved it too!)

And then of course there was Christmas...

But there's more to come on that.

All in all, it was a busy, fun filled December (and we've done even more since this, but we'll save that for another post).

Happy New Year!
